“Chocolate Diamond®” is a comparatively new term that was coined by the Le Vian group in an innovative and creative way to refer to brown diamonds. Although this was a strategy to lure more people to buy brown diamonds, the Chocolate Diamonds® from Le Vian speak for themselves and don’t need any encouragement if one is to believe their presence on the red carpet.

WHERE ARE THEY FOUND?

Chocolate Diamonds® are found naturally as well as made artificially. Artificial Chocolate Diamonds® are made in a lab and although they have the same color as naturally occurring Chocolate Diamonds®, they lack the shine and luster. They are actually white diamonds that have been treated to look brown. Their only advantage is that they cost much, much less than their naturally occurring counterparts.

WHERE ARE THEY FROM?

An interesting fact here is that Chocolate Diamonds® are found all over the globe just like other diamonds. They are found in Australia, Borneo, Brazil, Congo, and Angola. The Le Vian group sources their Chocolate Diamonds® from Australia, in the Argyle mines. Although brown diamonds are the most commonly found colored diamonds in the world, the Chocolate Diamonds® are not that easy to find.
